Use staff mode to punch cards and redeem coupons

Use the Counter in the DenAdvisor app (or Counter tools on the web) to add loyalty punches and check and redeem coupons.

Open staff mode in the app

  1. Ask the owner or a manager to invite you (see Team roles and permissions), and accept the invitation.
  2. Install the free DenAdvisor app on iOS or Android and sign in with the email address you were invited with.
  3. Tap the Counter card at the top of Home (the app reopens on the Counter if that is where you left it). Today’s numbers are at the top; tap one to see those activities.

Add a loyalty punch

  1. Tap Scan card or coupon and scan the card in the customer’s app wallet, or tap Add a punch and type the customer’s email.
  2. Optionally enter the Sale amount (used for customer spend insights).
  3. You see the customer’s first name and how far along their card is. Tap Add punch. New customers are enrolled automatically. A full green screen confirms it; tap Next customer.
  4. If the card is now complete, 🎉 Card Complete! shows the reward code, and the reward is sent to the customer.

To send a card without a punch, tap Just send them a card (no punch). If the program has a cooldown, the app tells you when the next punch can be added.

Validate and redeem a coupon

  1. Tap Scan card or coupon and scan the customer’s code, or tap Check a code and type it (Type a code instead also works from the scanner).
  2. If the code is good you see the business, the customer’s first name and Give the customer with the reward.
  3. Tap Confirm Redeem. The code is used up and cannot be redeemed again. If it can’t be used, a full red screen says why and what to tell the customer.
  4. The green screen shows POS code — enter this in your till. Key it into your POS to apply the discount, then tap Next customer.

On a computer or tablet

  • In the web dashboard, click Counter tools in the sidebar. Use the big Scan card or coupon button, Add a punch (by email) or Check a coupon (type a code, then Mark as used). Key the POS code it shows into your till.
  • You can also scan a customer’s coupon or loyalty QR with the scan button in the middle of the app’s bottom bar.
